3 generations of one family ran this junkyard on an abandoned 1930s airport. But urban sprawl has killed it. They have a month to sell or get rid of all the junkers, and then sell off some of the property, or Uncle Sam's lawyers will cut into it with eminent domain on the part of the housing developers

it even has a restored Texaco station!

Start the video at the 6 minute mark to get right to looking at that

This place is about 20 miles west of Salt Lake City in Grantsville

  1. God damn it, this makes my blood boil. Kelo v. City of New London, was the worst attack on the Constitution and the rights of citizens since the War of 1812, Grrrr.

    1. wasn't that in 1990, a woman born and lived in that house her whole 70 year life? Yep, well, if you can afford lawyers good enough, you can raise a stink. But, blue collar people don't have the money, and don't donate to congressmen, and don't run for office. So, the entire system benefits the rich, and especially the developers who change large areas of land from old tax rates for single income, to multiple housing units for the rich at new tax rates

Hate the way these things go, i.e., you have rights until someone wants what you have and then you don't have rights anymore, 'you have two choices, you can do it our way, or you can do it our way.'
