things that look easy on paper... a dead lift rig

The first guy to try this will be replacing the grill, radiator, and twisted bumper... I guarantee it

  1. "The first guy to try this will..." - You are certainly right when talking about civilian trucks, but I bet those old WWII military trucks could handle it.

  2. I was a truck driver in the Army. This is something you'd only do in the field when you don't have time to wait. If you do it right, you won't hurt the radiator. At that point you don't care about a twisted bumper or dented hood.

    1. I was referring to anyone doing this now, excluding in my scenario anyone in the military in a last resort situation. We've all known too many stupid people who can't tie their shoelaces, much less get a 5 ton truck to move 2 feet in reverse with a clutch.

    2. It works. Had do do it with a 3/4 ton dodge power wagon back in the 70's. this is out of a TM (training manual).

    3. It hooks 🪝under and over the frame rails where the bumper connects to. Extra wrap under bumper wouldn't hurt it for sure.

  4. This is possible with today's van that have front rails

  5. Will work very well with my utility vehicle, since it has a hitch on the front and rear.
Great idea, will save me plenty of time in an emergency situation.
